Protecting the environment isn’t just an issue for businesses; it’s an issue for everyone. We recognise our responsibility to make sure that we make information available and enable our people and our stakeholders to make a positive contribution.

Our InvolveMe programme has two aims:

• Increased awareness -
  
  We’ve developed a new intranet site that provides information and guidance to our people on how they can reduce their carbon footprint and help protect the environment.
  
  It also enables individuals to ‘make an environmental pledge’ to change the way they do things to reduce their environmental impact e.g. printing double-sided, walking to work etc

• Engagement -
  
  We have recently started a programme to establish ‘Green teams’ within our buildings in order that initiatives are embedded and so that we make ‘green thinking’ an integral part of the way we do business.
  
  As well as embedding change, Green Teams are also a great source of feedback and new ideas that can then be progressed by the Environment Committee.
