Looking forward in 2008

We will carry out a range of activities to embed our new strategy. In 2008 we plan to:

  • Increase our people’s understanding of their own strengths and talents by making the StrengthsFinder tool available to all our employees across the Group

  • Give our employees the opportunity to have coaching, advice, guidance and support on how to apply their strengths at work

  • Run events for all employees, highlighting how we can work together to create exceptional customer experiences

  • Rework our recruitment processes to ensure a continued pipeline of talent into our organisation, as well as making the most of our existing talent pool

  • Actively involve our staff association body Connect in defining new employee experiences for our people

  • Develop our global capabilities by increasingly working across borders and using the talent available worldwide

  • Run our Q12 staff opinion survey again, as a way of understanding the levels of staff engagement and areas we need to work on

  • Run one-day ‘Shaping our Future’ events for all our people to engage them with the future direction of the company

  • Roll out a new performance management system building on the work already started with our top 100 leaders
