Training & development

You can expect internal training, as well as on-the-job experience and in some areas, work assignments, as a matter of course. There may also be the opportunity to undertake fully funded study for professional qualifications, with the possibility of study leave and day release.

Within Standard Life our staff have access to Training Centres. Standard Life's Open Access Development Centres (OADC) have been awarded the British Association for Open Learning (BAOL) Quality Mark.

We're the first in Scotland to have gained the award, which signifies that our OADC processes, people and resources are amongst the best in the country.

• Study for professional qualifications - There are study booths, PCs and material available for individuals studying for professional qualifications and courses sponsored by Standard Life. These facilities are also available for staff undertaking study privately.
