Can I apply for more than one of the graduate/internship schemes?

We recommend that you apply for only one of our schemes in the recruitment cycle. If you want to apply for more than one, please contact the graduate recruitment team for guidance at graduate_recruitment@standardlife.com.

I applied last year - will a re-application be considered?

If you’ve applied to Standard Life in the last 2 years for a graduate position and have been through an Assessment Centre or Aptitude Tests, we may not be able to process your application. If you fall into this category it’s very important that you contact the graduate recruitment team before you apply.
Please e-mail us with the details of the position you applied for, and when this was during the last 2 years. Please send your e-mail to graduate_recruitment@standardlife.com. If I am unsuccessful when can I apply again?

This depends on the stage you reached during the recruitment process. We would not be able to accept a re-application in the same recruitment year (which runs from October to August), or if you have reached the Aptitude Testing or Assessment Centre stage within the previous 2 years. If you’re not sure about this, for more explanation before you apply, please e-mail the graduate recruitment team at graduate_recruitment@standardlife.com. When do graduate programmes start?

Most of our schemes start in September of each year, or at a mutually agreed date. I have a 2:2/3rd. Does my Masters/ Post Graduate qualification count, as the programme I'm applying to requires a 2:1?

Yes, your Masters/Post Graduate qualification will be taken into consideration and it’s still worthwhile applying if you’re in this situation.

These are open to penultimate year students or for those who are looking for an internship and are keen to progress to a graduate role the following year.
