Corporate Responsibility Committee

On 29 January 2008, the Board established a Corporate Responsibility Committee to take forward the work of the previous management Corporate Responsibility Committee. The committee members are Gerry Grimstone (Committee Chairman), Baroness McDonagh, Sandy Crombie and Marcia Campbell, the Group Operations Director - the majority of whom are Board Directors. The new Committee will provide guidance and direction on, and oversight of, the Group's corporate responsibility programme and will help support the Board's role in providing leadership on environmental and social issues. The Committee's duties include keeping under review the Group's policies relating to corporate responsibility (including the Group's Code of Business Conduct and the Group's published corporate responsibility commitment) and to make recommendations to the Board.
