Standard Life creates new Head of Platforms role

Standard Life has appointed David Tiller into the newly-created role of Head of Platform Propositions. David has been with the company for over 20 years and has a held a number of significant roles in various parts of the business including Standard Life Investments and Standard Life Wealth.

Richard Charnock, Managing Director, Adviser & Investments at Standard Life, said: "As we settle into the new post-RDR world, one of our key strategic priorities is the growth and success of our platform business. We have created this new role to ensure cohesion between all parts of the business and the adviser community to enable us to provide the best end-to-end platform for investment advice. Our role is to support advisers in the establishment, development and maintenance of a sustainable and profitable business - we believe our platforms can help support and realise their potential.

   David Tiller has been with Standard Life for over 20 years. He has held a number of business and strategy development roles including Head of Research and Product Development for Standard Life Investments. David played a key role in the development of the Standard Life Wealth investment approach since its earliest inception.
