We have created this new role to ensure cohesion between all parts of the business and the adviser community to enable us to provide the best end-to-end platform for investment advice. Our role is to support advisers in the establishment, development and maintenance of a sustainable and profitable business - we believe our platforms can help support and realise their potential.
"The continuing success of our platform proposition is key to our future growth and someone with David's experience will enable it to continue apace. As a key player in the development of Standard Life Wealth, and our wider investment proposition, David is perfectly suited to the job ahead."
David Tiller said, "This is a great opportunity for me to lead Standard Life's platform business at such an exciting time for the industry. Standard Life has taken a leading position in addressing the large scale regulatory change driven by RDR. There is much more to come and we are determined that the advisers we support will grow and thrive as the market evolves.
"We cannot lose sight of the core purpose of our platform, which is to build successful adviser businesses by enabling them to deliver excellent client outcomes. This means enabling advisers to deliver suitable investment advice in an efficient, scalable and well-governed manner.
"From my work in Standard Life Wealth, I know what it feels like to be a platform user. My number one priority is to ensure I understand what it feels like to be an adviser using our platform and how we can develop our service to help their businesses prosper."
