Standard Life adds offshore to its helpline for advisers
Standard Life has expanded the service provided by its Technical Team to include help for advisers on offshore investments.
The new offshore service forms part of techZONE, Standard Life's range of technical support for advisers by phone and online.
Ian Searle, Business Development Manager, Standard Life said, "Offshore investing is clearly gaining in popularity amongst advisers and their clients. At Standard Life, we have seen an increase in offshore bond sales of over 150% on the same period last year. But feedback from advisers has told us that detailed help on offshore matters is not readily available, so we are pleased to offer more support to advisers in this complex area. Our Technical Helpline service will now be able to help advisers with tax planning, domicile and other issues relating to offshore investing".
Standard Life's technical team is available to registered advisers on 0845 279 8800. Call charges may vary. Advisers wishing to register should speak to their Standard Life Account Manager.
As well as the phone based helpline, Standard Life's adviserzone website contains a large range of technical support material within its techZONE section. Advisers can access help on complex investment, retirement, tax and estate planning issues. The online offering includes:

- askTech Briefings - covering a range of technical subjects in detail;
- Latest news - keeping advisers up to date with industry developments.
